N95 Masks

Surgical masks are not designed for use as particulate respirators and do not provide as much respiratory protection as an N95 respirator. Surgical masks provide barrier protection against droplets including large respiratory particles. Most surgical masks do not effectively filter small particles from the air and do not prevent leakage around the edge of the mask when the user inhales.

N95 respirators and surgical masks are examples of personal protective equipment that are used to protect the wearer from airborne particles and from liquid contaminating the face. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also regulate N95 respirators.

You should only use an N95 mask that is certified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Masks that are not certified by NIOSH may not provide adequate protection to you.

Always read and follow the manufacturer's directions when using an N95 mask. It must cover both the nose and mouth to keep you from breathing in mold and dust. If it does not have a snug fit, it will not work properly. Correct fit of the mask requires contact with smooth skin. It will not work properly for people with beards or facial hair. Even one-day beard growth has been shown to let air leak in. Always use both straps on the mask to hold it in place to keep air from leaking around it.

As the N95 mask gets clogged, it becomes more difficult to breathe. When this occurs, throw it out and use a new one. Discard the mask if it is wet or dirty on the inside, if it is deformed, or if the filter is torn. A deformed mask may not fit properly. An N95 mask cannot be cleaned or disinfected.

Kids Mask

According to CDC:

  1. Cloth face coverings should NOT be worn by children under the age of 2.

  2. Cloth face coverings are most likely to reduce the spread of COVID-19 when they are widely used by people in public settings.

  3. People should wear cloth face coverings in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.

  4. Cloth face coverings are recommended as a simple barrier to help prevent respiratory droplets from traveling into the air and onto other people when the person wearing the cloth face covering coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice. This is called source control.

UVC Light Lamp

For information on UVC Light for disinfecting surfaces, please see the links below at the end of the page.

  1. Phillips offer full range of products as well. Testament to the technology and its benefits.

  2. Live Science also had an article on UVC for Corona Virus.

  3. Europe Health has another article on the same topic.

  4. Some studies show that UVC Light can also kill mites and other spices with 100% mortality rate.

Our Lamp comes with remote to avoid exposure of UVC to humans. We recommend the lamp to be turned on from remote for about 60 mins. After the process, you may have to ventilate the area for another 10 mins.

Half face respirator

Many studies shows that surgical masks are around 54% effective against most viruses. N95 masks are 95% effective against the same stuff. These half face respirators are around 99.97% effective. This is the closest we can get to 100% protection.

Please note: other precautions are also required to be followed when using P100 or half face respirators.
